Situated within the boundaries of the national marine Park and surrounded by an unspoilt verdant area, we think that we should add as much as we can to the protection of this beautiful piece of land, so that it will remain unspoilt for us, our guests and the later generations to come.

Belvedere is helping the environment by:

• Using ecological detergents
• Using glass instead of plastic packaging in supplies of goods and recycling all other materials such as paper
• Ensure action is taken to protect food conservation in the case of electricity power cuts
• Installing biological treatments for the hotel based on the approval of the environmental conditions
• Recovering water for irrigation from treated wastewater in sewage treatment plant
• Disposing of treated wastewater in accordance with the requirements of law and environmental hygiene
• Monitoring and maintaining the quality of bathing water to the required standard by the legislative limits
• Replacing all common incandescent light bulbs with new energy saving light bulbs in all rooms (excluding common areas)
• Placing a special waste battery recycling bin in the reception area
• Replacing all batteries with rechargeable ones by the end of 2010 season
• Using environmentally friendly detergents
• Using specific 'energy-saving' hot water tanks to reduce the heat by 20%
• Using automated devices on doors and windows to save electricity from air conditioners
• Recycling Bags in all rooms for the following products: paper, plastic, aluminum
